Langa 2015, Garnacha Syrah, Calatayud, Spain.

Calatayud deserves to be better known. The region produces some cracking wines from old vine Garnacha, wines with a lovely freshness combined with opulent ripe fruits. Here it is blended with a little Syrah to give it a bit more backbone and grip. The result is a very tasty full-bodied wine with rich ripe cherry fruits overlaid with spice.
